Parker Co.TX: 7 Jan 1854 states he settled on his land on 6 Dec 1853.Land consisted of 320 acres lying on the waters of the Clear Fork of the Trinity River abt 17 miles so 55degrees east of Weatherford (survey dated 24 Jan 1854) Travis Co.TX: 21 Feb 1871, he states he had lived on the land for 3 consecutive years prior to this date. In a letter from Dora Roberson youngest daughter of Roxye Caldonia Kay in1972 to Dorothy Lain, Dora says the Heffington family came from Parker County, TX to Travis Co in a wagon pulled by four yoke of oxen.
